Snow Day

It is funny to me how much my little man remembers and retains. This morning we woke to a beautiful sight here in Waco, SNOW! As any good mom would do I bundled Barrett up in his Snow suit that we purchased in Vail, Co, over thanksgiving and took him out to play in the wintery wonderland. Not 5 min out he gets a very frustrated look on his face. I asked him "Whats wrong Bear" He looks at me and said" this is not good snow" I then asked why and he told me " it doesnt make snowballs like in the mountains". I tried to help him after hearing his problem but sure enought it didnt pack well and made lousy snowballs! I guess letting him experiance real snow in Colorado jaded him on Texas snow for a while. :(
But he did have some fun, we made snow angles, & wrote in the snow. Then we came in the warm house and drank hot Coco. What a good time!

2010 Recap!

I know it has been a long time since I posted anything but here is my update for 2010. This year was a pretty good year in a nut shell. Barrett learned so many new things it is unreal. Barrett can now spell his name, recognise letters, look at the US map and tell you where Texas is and that it is home, along with Lousianna and New York. He got to go to his 1st Vacation Bible school this year, & he was in his 1st christmas pagent at Church. He is growing to fast and becoming such a little man. Back in June Bear turned 2 and I can't even think where the time has gone. It seems like yesterday I was on my way to the hospital to give birth, and now he is 2 1/2. OHHH MY!!!! On to other news Ryan is doing well at work( in Sales), & I not only still sell Mary Kay but I got a part time job at our church as Lead Teacher in the Children's ministry. We got to travel more this year which was nice, we went to Houston, Dallas, & San Antonio the 1st half of the year. Then we went to Vegas in Oct,& Vail in Nov. Baylor made it to a bowl game and while they didnt win we had a great time with Family just attending the game. What I expect for 2011....... A time to start New! 1st I am going to update my posts more, Since Ryan and I have had so many people tell us to write out story I am contemplating starting a blog about it, all 24 years worth, How we met threw today, not sure when that will take place. 2nd I am going to continue to run I have my 1st half marathon coming up and I will reasses after that and determine if I want to train for a Full marathon. Finally I plan on getting my home in order, family on track and for all of us to get in better health. Pretty lofty goals I know but I have this feeling 2011 is going to be the best year yet! Santa Baby

So Barrett is getting so big, He went today to have pics taken with santa and he loved it. He is so Huge compared to last yr. WOW how time flys. He now has all but 6 teeth, he Loves Footballs, Trucks, Handy Manny, "O' Toodle"Or to adults Mickey mouse, and His Daisy Dog. He enjoys regular weekly visits to Noni and Poppies house and Nana and Grandpas house. He has a blast playing with his cousins. We had an amazing Thanks giving this yr, Thursday we went to my parents house and Ate lots of yummy food, then Friday,Over thanksgiving weekend it was so nice All the Landon crew went on a mini Vaca..... Ryans parents got us 2 condos at the Lakeway Tennis Center and we went to the Gym, Ran, and played Tennis all day for 3 days. It was wonderful to spend that much Quality time with Ryans parents, Brothers and their kids. Barrett Really bonded with his Cousins, and had a blast. Now we are gearing up for Christmas, We have lights on the bushes out side, and just around the front door, the tree is up, and the presents are wrapped, (minus santas gifts cause he drops those off on Christmas eve). This yr will be fun, I cant wait! Our plans include going to Candle light Communion on Christmas Eve with Ryans family, then going to their house. Followed by Waking up early Christmas morn, to see barrett open his Santa toys, then we go to the Youngs house and do gifts and Lunch, then around 3 we head to the Landons for presents and maybe a dinner snack. I am excited Barrett's God parents and their parents will be doing Christmas at the Youngs this Yr. YEAHHHHHH! I will post Pics when I get them downloaded.

OK so Today Barrett got his 1st hair cut over at his Noni and Poppy's house. He wiggled alot and got passed around but all in all it turned out great! the Pics are above hope you like them!
