Long time

OK so it's been a very long time since I posted anything on here about our years. Well Here it is almost June 2012 and we have had so much going on. I started a fitness blog www.kristenlandonfitness.blogspot.com. I officially reached the 96 lb mark for weight loss, Ryan and I celebrated an amazing 5yrs of marriage and the day we got back from our anniversary cruise to Mexico we found out we are expecting our 2nd child. WOW now thats alot! Barrett has grown and changed so much as well he can now spell his 1st middle and last names, tell you his address, phone number and list all 7 continents. We have been working very hard to get him ready for Pre K which he starts in August! WOW Pre K. Yes that right My Boy will be a Woodway Christian Wildcat! He is not my baby any more, he is so big. Barrett cant be more excited about baby Brother or sister. He is saying he thinks I am having a Brother but he said he wants a sister. WE shall see. I explained that God gives us what we need and not always what we want! He likes that and is now going around telling everyone God gives us what we need not what we want. LOl well Iam about to head to the dr. So I will post more later, hopefully a pic of baby #2.

Wow where did the Year Go!

Ok so WOW its now late October and I just realized I have not updated our blogspot since Feb. Well here we go…..
Ryan & I are doing well. He is busy with work and trying to hit his goals for the year. That means lots of alone time for Barrett and I since daddy is at the office. We don’t mind though because the time we do spend together as a family is quality. Ryan has also done really well this year with adopting a new lifestyle of eating healthier and working out. He has lost 38 lbs. this yr. and is continuing to lose each week. As for me, in March I ran my 1st 1/ 2 marathon. I finished the race in 2 hrs. 55 min and 5 sec. I am proud to say that I did that at a whopping 205 lbs. Since then I have adopted the same healthy eating & workout regimen as my husband and am proud to say I have lost 38 lbs. since then. I have an additional 27 lbs. left to lose to be at my target weight. I am also in training for my 1st full marathon which I plan on running in November. I am also in the process of obtaining my study materials so that I may test out and get certified as a personal trainer. Please let me know if you would like me to train you! So like I said things are going well for Ryan & I. OK ….so to answer the BIG ? that EVERYONE KEEPS ASKING????? When are we going to have another Child? WELL……….. ha ha ha Fooled you…. We still haven’t decided when or if that will happen yet. I will say this…. For those who don’t know we Lost 3 children trying to get our son. It was a very difficult pregnancy for me, once I did conceive Barrett, and I am not sure I can handle going through that again. With that said we are not completely closed off to the idea of another child so I guess all of you out there will just have to wait and see if and when it happens. LOL Stay Tuned….
Now on the one who really matters…… Barrett! Well this Year he has grown 4 inches. Barrett has learned how to spell his 1st, middle & Last names. I have been working hard with him on his school work & am proud to say that he has learned much this year. In Geography he can now locate Texas, Louisiana, Florida, California & Colorado in the U.S. map and tell you what all of them are. In Math He has learned how to count to 20. In Language He can say” where is the…” & Cat, dog, house, aunt & uncle in Spanish. Barrett knows his Numbers 1-10 in both German & Spanish. And in Reading he can look at the alphabet and recognize most of the letters (still working on a few). Barrett has performed in several church programs, singing his heart out like a champ. In some cases he would sit down, dance or fidget like a champ but mom and daddy were still super proud. This year’s biggest accomplishment however is that he……. Wait for it…… Was fully potty trained, including nigh time (no bed wetting) all before his 3rd birthday in June.
OK well I better go but please stay tuned for more updated. I can’t wait to bring you all the updates & pictures from Halloween, thanksgiving & Christmas.

Snow Day

It is funny to me how much my little man remembers and retains. This morning we woke to a beautiful sight here in Waco, SNOW! As any good mom would do I bundled Barrett up in his Snow suit that we purchased in Vail, Co, over thanksgiving and took him out to play in the wintery wonderland. Not 5 min out he gets a very frustrated look on his face. I asked him "Whats wrong Bear" He looks at me and said" this is not good snow" I then asked why and he told me " it doesnt make snowballs like in the mountains". I tried to help him after hearing his problem but sure enought it didnt pack well and made lousy snowballs! I guess letting him experiance real snow in Colorado jaded him on Texas snow for a while. :(
But he did have some fun, we made snow angles, & wrote in the snow. Then we came in the warm house and drank hot Coco. What a good time!

2010 Recap!

I know it has been a long time since I posted anything but here is my update for 2010. This year was a pretty good year in a nut shell. Barrett learned so many new things it is unreal. Barrett can now spell his name, recognise letters, look at the US map and tell you where Texas is and that it is home, along with Lousianna and New York. He got to go to his 1st Vacation Bible school this year, & he was in his 1st christmas pagent at Church. He is growing to fast and becoming such a little man. Back in June Bear turned 2 and I can't even think where the time has gone. It seems like yesterday I was on my way to the hospital to give birth, and now he is 2 1/2. OHHH MY!!!! On to other news Ryan is doing well at work( in Sales), & I not only still sell Mary Kay but I got a part time job at our church as Lead Teacher in the Children's ministry. We got to travel more this year which was nice, we went to Houston, Dallas, & San Antonio the 1st half of the year. Then we went to Vegas in Oct,& Vail in Nov. Baylor made it to a bowl game and while they didnt win we had a great time with Family just attending the game. What I expect for 2011....... A time to start New! 1st I am going to update my posts more, Since Ryan and I have had so many people tell us to write out story I am contemplating starting a blog about it, all 24 years worth, How we met threw today, not sure when that will take place. 2nd I am going to continue to run I have my 1st half marathon coming up and I will reasses after that and determine if I want to train for a Full marathon. Finally I plan on getting my home in order, family on track and for all of us to get in better health. Pretty lofty goals I know but I have this feeling 2011 is going to be the best year yet!
